The clinicians at Chain Bridge Speech and Language are experienced in incorporating alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) into evaluations and treatments, as appropriate. The integration of AAC into therapy often benefits individuals who cannot rely on speech alone to effectively communicate. Integration of AAC helps to enhance language across communicative contexts. The use of AAC may range from low-tech materials, such as communication boards and visual aids, up to high-tech dedicated communication devices. Clinicians are experienced and familiar with customization and programming of dedicated language programs including Prentke Romich's "Unity" Program and Dynavox's "Word Power" Program, among others. Additionally, clinicians are familiar and experienced with available applications on mainstream technology and devices, such as "ProLoquo2Go" and "LAMP: Words for Life (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning)".
